Located on the North/South and East/West axis, Hyderabad forms the gateway to South India. Hyderabad is very well connected by Rail from all the major towns and cities of India. Reservations can be made from any city to Hyderabad on the nationwide Passenger Reservation System. The city is also well connected by Road and air with all the important cities of India.
 

What to see

Charminar

Built in 1591 AD by the founders of the city, in memory of the eradication of deadly plague, Charminar is the enduring symbol of historic Hyderabad.

Golconda Fort

Once famous for the Kohinoor diamond, Golconda Fort is famous for its massive structures and magical acoustics. The Sound & Light Show, every evening that re-enacts the glory and grandeur of the Qutb Shahi rule is not to be missed.

Qutub Shahi Tombs

A great place to view Indo Sarcenic architecture, the Tombs of the seven Qutub Shahi rulers forms the only necropolis in the world. The serene surroundings of Ibrahim Bagh gardens make this a great picnic spot.

Salar Jung Museum

The largest and the greatest collection of antiques and artifacts by a single person, Nawab Salar Jung III, the museum houses priceless gems of art belonging to various traditions, styles and countries.

Mecca Masjid

The largest mosque in South India, Mecca Masjid is a magnificent structure that is said to have bricks brought from Mecca built into the central arch.

Birla Temple and Planetarium

Built entirely with white marble on a hillock offering a bird’s eye view of the city, Birla temple is sheer poetry in stone. While Birla Planetarium unfolds the mysteries of the universe in a great sky show, Birla Science Museum educates the visitors on the advances made in science and technology since the dawn of civilization.

Nehru Zoological Park

The largest zoo in India, Nehru Zoological Park houses over 250 species of animals and birds amidst green surroundings. The Lion Safari park and the Natural History Museum are great experiences.

Shilparamam

A Crafts Village that showcases Indian arts, crafts, culture and tradition, Shilparamam is a must visit for art lovers. Set amidst lovely rocks, rippling waterfalls and gorgeous lawns, the crafts village is a tribute to the heritage of India.

Medak Church

Awe inspiringly tall, the Medak Church is the symbol of the influence of Christianity on India. The century old church with its stained glass windows stands as a glorious example of gothic architecture in India. Medak is 100 kms, by road from Hyderabad.

Mantralayam

350 kms, by road, from Hyderabad, Mantralayam is home to Saint Raghavendra’s Samadhi. Situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra, this ashram and temple attract devotees all round the year. The nearest railhead to Mantralayam is Mantralayam Road.
