MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS AWARDS “OVERALL EFFICIENCY SHIELD” TO SCR

The Ministry of Railways announced the award of the prestigious Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Shield to South Central Railway in recognition of the commendable performance and overall efficiency of the zone. SCR becomes the first Zonal Railway to get this coveted shield after reorganisation of Indian Railways.

The shield was presented by Shri Naranbhai Rathwa, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways to Shri H.K.Padhee, General Manager, South Central Railway at the 53rd Railway Week function held on 16th April, 2008 at Mumbai.

SCR bags efficiency shields for 2007-08

Ministry of Railways has awarded three efficiency shields for the following departments of SCR for best performance in the last financial year 2007-08.

- Accounts department

- Stores department

- Civil Engineering department
